On vacation….(kind of)

I got to start the new year on the north shore of Hawaii. Partially for vacation, but mostly to help our daughter move into her new home for the next three years at college. I got to spend four days of our trip doing a TON of cleaning, buying stuff for her room, more cleaning, and some organizing. We did take a morning trip to do the recommended whale watching tours out of Waikiki. The boat we were on was huge and very nice. We managed to see one baby whale. It spent a little while slapping its tail and fin on the water surface. Definitely a fun experience.

More than one Photo of the Day (POTD) for today because I had a few I really liked. Photography for me is sometimes about the memories, other about marketing an image, and even more about art and composition. I think after so many years of shooting its a natural thing to consider all of these elements of creating an image.
